Etched Crosshairs

Etched Crosshairs will not rub off or be removed by detergents.

This makes for a quick and easy way to check on the oil level in your machine.
2

Eyelets

Featured in all Luneta Sight Glasses, built-in eyelets make for easy tagging.

We suggest attaching checklists or MSDS sheets for quick reference.
3

Hex Nut

The molded hex feature you see in Luneta products is to ensure ease of installation.

The hex design allows for a wrench to easily grab onto the sides of the device and be tightened down.

360° View

The 3D shape of the Luneta Sight Glass gives a crystal clear look at your machine's lubrication.

Since light can pass through the Sight Glass, you get a great idea of what conditions are like inside the equipment.
6

Flat Face

The flat face of the Luneta Sight Glass serves two purposes.

The shape does not allow oil to become trapped within the Sight Glass and allows it to continue to flow freely.

A pen light can be shone into the oil to illuminate your view without causing distortion.
5

Tritan Sight Glass

Tritan is an incredible material, it simply does not crack or break under field conditions.

Luneta's Sight Glasses are made entirely from this miracle material so they are the strongest option on the market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why the molded hex?

The molded hex feature you see in Luneta products is to ensure ease of installation. The hex design allows for a wrench to easily grab onto the sides of the device and be tightened down.

What is the line that runs down the side of the Sight Glass?

The small line you see on the side of all Luneta Sight Glasses, is what is known as a Nit line. It is where the two pieces of the mold come together during the injection molding process. It is not a defect. If you see other visual occlusions besides the nit line, please reach out to our customer service line or your distributor and we’ll make it right.

Can I use this on a high pressure system?

The Sight Glass is only for use on low pressure systems.

Do the threads require Teflon tape?

Thread sealing paste or dope is recommended for use with the Sight Glass. Thread sealing teflon tape will work too, but we always suggest using paste or dope instead of tape to prevent contamination in your machinery.
